7:00 – 9:30 AM - Legion Auxiliary ladies Unit 415 will serve breakfast at American Legion, to include biscuits with gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit and beverage for $5.00! Extra Biscuits $1.00
9:30 AM - Parade- Kids Welcome - Bikes/Trikes/Wagaons and Pets
10:00 AM - Tractor Ride following the Parade. The Livermore Daze Tractor Ride will line up North of the American Legion with Sign-up will start at 7:00 to 9:30 am, with the ride starting at 10:00 am. The entry fee is only $25.00 per tractor, includes a morning break with snack, includes lunch at Call State Park and a afternoon break with snacks. The ride will leave Livermore heading north and northwest traveling through various towns along the way. The ride should be finished at approximately 3:00 pm. Tractor ride participants or anyone with questions can contact Roger McNeill @ (515) 890-1984.

10:30 AM -- Ecumenical Church Serive The Livermore Daze Celebration will conclude on Sunday with a Livermore Daze Ecumenical Church Service, at the Livermore Swimming Pool park. Old-Fashioned Potluck dinner to follow on Sunday, July 21, 2019, to follow worship. Everyone is welcome and invited to bring a potluck dish, table service, and lawn chairs to join the faith, fun and fellowship! Burgers will be furnished!

For over nineteen years, Standing Hampton has been entertaining 70s & 80s Classic Rock fans across the Midwest, performing at countless festivals, town celebrations, casinos, special events, and clubs. In addition Standing Hampton has shared the stage with many national acts including Rick Springfield, Cheap Trick, Eddie Money, Night Ranger, Little River Band, April Wine, Head East, Firehouse, and Janey Lane. Grand Marshal of the 2019 Livermore Daze Parade Team Livermore has chosen longtime Livermore area resident Janine Berte to be the Livermore Daze Parade Marshall on Saturday July 20, 2019 with the Parade starting at 9:30 am. Janine Berte daughter of Clifford and Mary baker of Livermore, graduated from Livermore High School in 1956, which was the last class to graduate from Livermore High School. In 1956 the schools of Bode, Livermore and Ottosen merged to form the “Twin Rivers Community School”. The two elementary schools were located at Livermore and Ottosen with the high school located at Bode, all under Superintendent Alvin Leuthauser. In 1957 She married John Berte and they moved to the farm at Kanawha in 1958, where they farmed for ten years. In 1968 the Berte’s moved to back to Livermore, John started working construction and they raised their seven children. Janine was the Livermore Librarian from 1987 to 1991, as librarian in December 1987 Janine spearheaded the successful fund-raising for the 24-foot by 28-foot expansion addition to the existing Library. In 1979 the family became Berte & Son Construction and Janine started working for Berte & Son Construction. Back in 1980 Jeff Berte of Berte and Son LTD. purchased the ground where the "Miller's Opera House" used to sit from the City of Livermore that was using the property to store stone piles and asphalt patching materials. In 1981 Berte and Son LTD. then built a pole frame metal warehouse, with a local office. In 2000 Berte & Son LTD. Construction expanded and moved their construction business operation to Humboldt, Iowa by building a new building in the newly developed industrial park. Janine says that she is so blessed to have a large family, Bruce and Jan Bratland with three kids live in Livermore, Jeff and Karen Berte with three kids live in Humboldt, Brad and Julie Banwart with two kids live in West Bend, Jerry and Kalene Berte with two kids live in rural Humboldt, Jim and Janet Berte with three kids live in Bode, Jon and Jean Jensen with four kids live in Estherville, Iowa and Tim and Joan Bunda with two kids live on an acreage near Emmetsburg, Iowa. Janine enjoys spending time with the nineteen Grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren.

This Last Team Livermore project has just been completed with a newly expanded 24-foot by 36-foot addition, that doubles the size of the Livermore Shelter house located in the Livermore Swimming Pool Park! This $18,600.00 project is being paid for by Team Livermore along with a $9,300.00 matching grant from the Humboldt County Community Foundation last March. The General contractor for the project was Dodd Construction, LLC of Livermore, Iowa. |
